Pop Brixton, designed by Carl Turner Architects, is a new hub built from low-cost shipping containers on a previously brownfield site of 2,000sqm. It was created as a platform for local people, culture and enterprise, and consists of an open public square, workspaces, event and exhibition space, and independent bars, food traders and retailers. Leo & Mark, founders of Lifeboat Studio, lead the delivery of the project for Carl Turner Architects working on its detail design, costing, project and construction management, and successfully realising its concept. Completed May 2015.
